How to use the question bank
The formulations in the bank are intended for selecting questions for a specialist's conclusion, forensic examination, petition, or court order. The question must relate to specialized knowledge and factual circumstances.
The expert does not decide who is right in a dispute, who breached the contract, who is obliged to return money or recover losses. Such questions pertain to legal evaluation. The expert examines the object and materials and answers questions requiring specialized knowledge.
The final set of questions in a forensic examination is determined by the court or other body that appointed the examination.
How to choose questions
The question must relate to commodity characteristics: quality, defects, cause of damage, completeness, labeling, suitability, or cost. Legal assessment and allocation of responsibility is provided by the court, and the expert answers specific questions.
6030 questions to the product expert
Filters work interactively and allow selecting multiple values at once: after selecting a specialty, section type, or section / commodity area, the "Subsection / Product" list and other available options are updated immediately. Each drop-down filter has a quick search for options. The general search takes into account product groups, synonyms, materials, common names, and common typos, as well as recognizing expert tasks and individual indicators in the query. Permanent pages with direct links are available for product families.
Materials and Methods. The composition of materials and research methods are determined by the expert taking into account the questions posed, the characteristics of the object, and the materials provided.
The list of expert specialties is provided according to the order of the Ministry of Justice of Russia dated 20.04.2023 No. 72.
Laboratory, instrumental, and comprehensive research are different criteria. When making a conclusion about a food batch, the order of sampling, preservation, and representativeness are taken into account; the result of analyzing an individual sample does not automatically apply to the entire batch.

Do the actual characteristics of the tested product according to the indicator «dimensions» correspond to the declared information?
Do the actual characteristics of the tested product according to the indicator «elasticity by available signs» correspond to the declared information and provided documents?
Do the actual characteristics of the tested product according to the indicator «surface condition» correspond to the declared product configuration?
Does the actual completeness of the examined product correspond to the completeness provided by the manufacturer, contract, or specification?
Do the labeling, consumer packaging, and accompanying information of the examined product correspond to its actual commodity characteristics?
Does the tested product have cracking or loss of elasticity?
Does the tested product have tears or delamination?
Does the tested product have swelling or surface changes?
What are the localization, severity, and prevalence of the identified defects of the tested product?
What is the nature of the defects identified in the examined product: manufacturing, operational, transport, storage, or other?
Could the circumstances «contact with oils, reagents, or temperature» have led to the observed changes in the tested product?
Could the identified changes in the examined product have arisen under the circumstances specified in the case materials: aging and mechanical stress?
Do the characteristics of the examined product comply with the applicable regulatory and technical documentation and the manufacturer’s information?
What is the market value of the examined product on the specified date considering its actual condition, and what is the reduction in its value due to the identified defects?

What objective signs of the studied product allow the differentiation of the production origin of the identified defect and its possible occurrence during transportation, storage, or use?
Can the established defect of a rubber or elastomer product be related simultaneously to the properties of the material and to the conditions of storage, installation, use, or operation?
Do the special indicators of the examined product — type and composition of rubber, hardness, strength, elasticity, and chemical resistance — meet the established requirements?
Do the actual material, hardness, elasticity, strength, and other declared characteristics of the rubber or elastomer product comply with the applicable requirements?
What is the reason for the detected change in the composition, structure, or consumer properties of the product under study?
Are there any signs of aging, curing, cracking, swelling, or softening in the rubber or elastomer product, and are they compatible with exposure to temperature, ozone, oils, or other substances?
Do the elastomer composition, hardness, strength, degree of aging, and chemical compatibility of the rubber product meet the established requirements?
Which questions are better not to ask
It is not recommended to ask the expert questions that require a legal assessment: whether the seller violated the law, whether the party is guilty, whether the seller is obliged to return the money, whether the contract is subject to termination, whether there are grounds for satisfying the claim, who should pay for the repair, whether consumer rights were violated.
Such questions are better rephrased into factual ones: about the presence of defects, causes of their occurrence, the condition of the goods, the impact of defects on quality and value, as well as the suitability of the goods for use.
