Questions to the expert: Child restraint systems

Selection of questions in the "Child restraint systems" section for discussion with the expert.

How to use the question bank

The formulations in the bank are intended for selecting questions for a specialist's conclusion, forensic examination, petition, or court order. The question must relate to specialized knowledge and factual circumstances.

The expert does not decide who is right in a dispute, who breached the contract, who is obliged to return money or recover losses. Such questions pertain to legal evaluation. The expert examines the object and materials and answers questions requiring specialized knowledge.

The final set of questions in a forensic examination is determined by the court or other body that appointed the examination.

How to choose questions

The question must relate to commodity characteristics: quality, defects, cause of damage, completeness, labeling, suitability, or cost. Legal assessment and allocation of responsibility is provided by the court, and the expert answers specific questions.

Filters work interactively and allow selecting multiple values at once: after selecting a specialty, section type, or section / commodity area, the "Subsection / Product" list and other available options are updated immediately. Each drop-down filter has a quick search for options. The general search takes into account product groups, synonyms, materials, common names, and common typos, as well as recognizing expert tasks and individual indicators in the query. Permanent pages with direct links are available for product families.

Materials and Methods. The composition of materials and research methods are determined by the expert taking into account the questions posed, the characteristics of the object, and the materials provided.

The list of expert specialties is provided according to the order of the Ministry of Justice of Russia dated 20.04.2023 No. 72.

Laboratory, instrumental, and comprehensive research are different criteria. When making a conclusion about a food batch, the order of sampling, preservation, and representativeness are taken into account; the result of analyzing an individual sample does not automatically apply to the entire batch.

Which questions are better not to ask

It is not recommended to ask the expert questions that require a legal assessment: whether the seller violated the law, whether the party is guilty, whether the seller is obliged to return the money, whether the contract is subject to termination, whether there are grounds for satisfying the claim, who should pay for the repair, whether consumer rights were violated.

Such questions are better rephrased into factual ones: about the presence of defects, causes of their occurrence, the condition of the goods, the impact of defects on quality and value, as well as the suitability of the goods for use.
